Dashboard Reports: HR flags

Identify comments that may require closer HR, safeguarding or wellbeing attention.

What are HR flags?

HR flags, powered by Prism, uses AI-assisted screening to help authorised comment reviewers identify survey comments that may require closer HR, safeguarding or wellbeing attention.

Large surveys can contain hundreds or thousands of comments. While most reflect everyday employee experiences, a small number may indicate a more serious people-related concern that warrants additional review and intervention.

HR flags help surface these comments within the existing comments workflow, providing a more focused starting point for authorised reviewers. Each assessment includes a suggested flag, category, factual reason and confidence level.

Viewing HR flags

HR flags appear within the ‘All comments’ view in the results dashboard.

Reviewing a flagged comment

When an authorised user opens an HR flag, they can view:

  • The survey comment

  • The suggested flag

  • The category

  • The factual reason

  • The confidence level

  • The original Prism AI assessment

  • The current effective result

  • The processing status

The original Prism AI assessment remains available throughout the review process, helping ensure screening results remain transparent and explainable.

Manual review decisions

HR flags are designed to support human review, not replace it.

Authorised users can:

  • Confirm a flag

  • Clear a flag

  • Change the category

  • Record a factual reason for the decision

Once a manual decision has been recorded, the updated effective result is used within comment views and filters. The original Prism AI assessment remains available for reference.

Understanding confidence levels

Each HR flag includes a confidence level displayed as:

  • Low

  • Medium

  • High

The confidence level relates to the Prism AI assessment and provides additional context during review. It should not be interpreted as confirmation that an issue has occurred or as a measure of severity.

What HR flags are designed to do

HR flags help authorised users:

  • Focus attention on comments that may require closer review

  • Reduce reliance on manually scanning large volumes of comments

  • Understand why a comment has been flagged

  • Review potentially important feedback within an existing workflow

  • Support established HR, safeguarding and wellbeing review processes

What HR flags are not designed to do

HR flags are a screening and prioritisation aid.

A flag does not:

  • Confirm an allegation

  • Determine whether a risk is immediate

  • Diagnose an individual

  • Automatically notify HR

  • Automatically open a formal case

  • Determine what action an organisation should take

Authorised users remain responsible for reviewing feedback and applying their organisation's policies and processes.

Maintaining anonymity

HR flags continue to operate within existing dashboard permissions and anonymity controls.

Opening an HR flag does not bypass:

  • Comment visibility rules

  • User permissions

  • Current dashboard filters

  • The configured comments anonymity threshold

HR flags are only visible to specifically authorised users.

Feature eligibility

HR flags are only available to authorised users.

To access HR flags, a user must:

  • Have an active dashboard association

  • Be a dashboard super user

  • Have access to the comments report

  • Have the specific HR flag permission enabled

  • Be able to see the comment within their current dashboard view

  • Meet the configured comments anonymity threshold requirements
