The All actions tab: your full action board

The All actions tab is the complete action board embedded within Action Insights - every action for the dashboard, organised by status (Not started / In progress / Completed).

The filter at the top re-scopes everything

There is one filter at the top of the tab. Choose an area of your organisation (or a demographic group, depending on your dashboard type) and every card below reloads for that population. There are no per-card filters. Use "Clear filter" to return to the whole dashboard.

What you can do here

  • Search and filter the board to find specific actions.

  • Open any action to view or update its details, owner, due date and status.

  • Create a new action directly from the board.

How it connects to the rest of Action Insights

Most charts and grids in Action Insights are clickable - a bubble on the Action focus chart, a status slice on Action progress, a category row - and each one lands you here, filtered to the actions you clicked. If you arrive via one of those links, the board opens already filtered; clear the filter to see everything.

A tip that keeps your insights accurate

When you create an action about a specific survey question, create it from that question (via the "+" buttons on Action focus, or from within the question) rather than from scratch. That links the action to the question, which is what makes it count on the bubble chart and the Actions by question grid.

Why Organisation-wide actions are excluded from participation and status

Participation rate answers a specific question: are our managers engaging with their own results? A central initiative doesn't tell you anything about that — and if it were counted, one organisation-wide action could make local take-up look healthier than it is.

The same reasoning applies to the Status chart and to Action activity. All three are deliberately measuring local action planning.

Organisation-wide actions are not hidden as a result. They appear on the All actions board, they are grouped into the Organisation row in the owner table (which is separate from Unassigned), and they are the entire basis of the Organisational action alignment card.

The Event log tab: the operational record (super users)

The Event log is the audit view within Action Insights. Where the other tabs summarise what's happening, the Event log shows the underlying record: each nudge sent, each action email and its delivery outcome, each change made to an action, and who has opted out of action emails.

Who can see it: dashboard super users only. Standard managers and dashboard users don't see this tab.

A note on the data: unlike survey results, this view is not anonymised — it shows real names and email addresses, because its purpose is operational tracking. Treat its contents as confidential.

The four grids

Manager nudges

One row per nudge sent: who sent it, who received it, its status, and when. Click a row to see the exact email that was sent. Statuses run Queued → Sending → Sent (or Failed / Aborted). "Sent" means the platform sent the email successfully — this grid doesn't track delivery to the inbox.

Email prompts and reminders

One row per action email, with timestamps for Sent → Delivered → Opened → Clicked. Read it left to right to see where an email dropped off: Sent but not Delivered suggests a problem at the recipient's end; Delivered but not Opened means it arrived unread. Bear in mind open and click tracking depend on the recipient's email client and can under-report.

Action activity

An audit trail of changes to actions — what changed, when, and who made the change. Useful for "who completed / edited / reassigned this action?" questions.

Email unsubscribes

Everyone who has opted out of at least one action email type, with the date they did so per email type. If someone isn't receiving reminders, check here first. An empty grid means nobody has unsubscribed. You'll only see columns for the email types enabled on your dashboard.

Common questions

Why can't my colleague see this tab? It's restricted to dashboard super users for that dashboard.

A manager says a nudge never arrived. Find it in Manager nudges. If it shows Sent, the platform sent it - check the Email prompts grid or the recipient's spam folder for the delivery side. Queued or Sending means it hasn't gone yet; Failed or Aborted means it didn't send.

Why isn't someone getting reminder emails? Check Email unsubscribes first - a date against the reminder column means they opted out. If not, check Email prompts and reminders to see whether reminders are being sent and delivered to them.

Something I expect to see isn't listed. Three of the grids follow your dashboard's date filter, so widen the date range before assuming an event never happened. (Email unsubscribes always shows the current opt-out state.)
