Clearer Action Insights visibility for non-panel Senior Managers

Action Insights visibility has been updated for non-panel Senior Managers.

Previously, some non-panel Senior Managers could see more area-specific actions than intended because they did not have panel data. This meant dashboard area restrictions were not always applied in the same way.

With this release, non-panel Senior Managers will now see:

  • Area-specific actions linked to areas they are permitted to access

  • Organisation-wide actions available to Senior Managers

If a non-panel Senior Manager has no dashboard area restrictions, they will continue to see all area-specific actions, as well as organisation-wide actions available to their role.

This change applies to Action Insights only. It does not change Action Planning permissions or visibility.

Enhanced Action Tag Filtering

Enhanced Action Tag Filtering is available as an optional organisation-level setting for organisations that need more granular Action Insights visibility controls.

When enabled, approved non-sensitive survey variables can be used to tag actions. Action Insights can then use those tags to match actions to areas a user is already permitted to see, rather than relying only on the action owner’s or creator’s current panel data.

Tags do not grant access by themselves. They are used to support matching where the user already has permission to see the relevant area.

Organisation-wide actions continue to follow their configured audience settings.

Only non-sensitive variables can be used for action visibility matching. Sensitive variables are excluded from configuration.

Where appropriate, historical reprocessing is available to update existing actions so they can be matched using approved action tags.

This functionality is intended for organisations where action visibility needs to follow operational areas such as stores, regions, cost centres or similar structures.

New Action Planning only access for dashboard users

A new Action Planning Only dashboard user option has been introduced.

When enabled, users can access Action Planning functionality only. They cannot access dashboard reporting or survey insights.

This supports action owners who need to update and progress actions, without

giving them access to survey results or analytics.

There are no changes to existing Super User or Senior Manager dashboard roles.

Dark mode improvements

We have improved dark mode support improving contrast, readability and accessibility. Dark mode support has also been added to Org Directory.

Platform refinements
